Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) # 07A6055 for Roof Removal and Replacement Services in Ventura County. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and safety of state facilities by replacing aging roofing structures. This project is authorized under Government Code Section 14838.7, which allows for the award of contracts for public works projects valued between $5,000 and $461,000 to certified small businesses, including micro businesses and disabled veteran business enterprises.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary permits, labor, tools, equipment, incidentals, and travel required for the removal and replacement of two (2) metal roofs located over a covered vehicle wash rack and a covered fueling station. Additionally, the contractor will repaint the entire roof structure and support pillars to match the existing color. Specific tasks include:

1) Removing existing roofing materials and disposing of them legally;
2) Installing new roofing made from ASTM A792 Galvalume or equivalent material with a minimum thickness of 20 gauge;
3) Submitting proposed roofing materials for approval before installation;
4) Painting the roof and support pillars with weather-resistant paint suitable for coastal environments;
5) Implementing temporary water protection measures during inclement weather;
6) Coordinating work schedules to minimize disruption to Caltrans operations.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 30, 2025 (estimate), or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later. The contract will expire on December 31, 2025 (estimate). Work must be performed during normal business hours from Monday to Friday, excluding State holidays.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Caltrans Ventura Maintenance Facility located at 301 West Front Street, Ventura, CA 93001.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), including micro businesses or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE). They must possess a valid Contractor's State License Board (CSLB) license appropriate for the work being undertaken. Bidders must also have a current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). A Payment Bond will be required if the bid exceeds $25,000. Insurance requirements include providing proof of insurance within ten working days after notification of award.
