Background
The California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 26-C0006 for Office Moving Services. The DPR's mission is to protect human health and the environment by regulating pesticide use in California. The goal of this contract is to provide moving services on an as-needed basis to designated areas throughout the state, ensuring efficient relocation of office furniture, equipment, and archived records.
Work Details
The Contractor shall provide comprehensive moving services including: transportation and palletizing of conventional and free-standing furniture, equipment, boxes of archived records, and modular system furniture (MSF). Specific responsibilities include:
- Providing MSF installation services for various brands including Prison Industry Authority made MSF, Haworth MSF, and All Steel MSF.
- Installing, repairing, and adjusting modular and conventional office furniture.
- Disassembling, relocating, and reassembling modular and conventional furniture.
- Transporting surplus items to the Department of General Services warehouse.
- Relocating office furniture and equipment, boxes, files, etc.
- Unbolting fixtures attached to walls or ceilings.
- Disposing of non-repairable items approved by DGS at designated landfills.
The services will primarily be performed at DPR locations in Sacramento County but may also extend to Orange and Fresno counties.
Period of Performance
The anticipated term for the contract is from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at DPR's locations including:
- Headquarters (HQ), 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
- Bradshaw Regional Office (BRO), 3077 Fite Circle, Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95827
- Southern Regional Office (SRO), 2 MacArthur Place, Suite 910, Santa Ana, CA 92707
- Central Regional Office (CRO), 395 West Spruce Street, Suite 103, Clovis, CA 93611.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific qualifications including:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in Office Moving Services.
- Possession of a current Class A commercial Driver’s License and a valid Class C California Driver’s License.
- A State of California contractor's Limited Specialty Classification license or D-34 Prefabrication Equipment Contractor license.
- A United States Department of Transportation Number issued by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
- A Carrier Identification (CA) Number issued by the California Highway Patrol.
Bidders must also provide proof of certification as a California Small Business or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise if applicable.
