Background
The County of Orange, through its County Executive Office - CPO, is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB-080-2978802-JC-2) to secure qualified vendors for Toyota Forklift Repair Services. The goal is to obtain comprehensive forklift service and repair that adheres to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards, ensuring high-quality maintenance and operational efficiency across County departments. The selected contractors must be certified by Toyota Forklift and authorized to perform warranty repairs and recalls.
Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the service and repair of the County's forklift fleet. This includes diagnosing, repairing, tuning-up, and servicing various types of equipment such as Toyota Forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial scissor lifts, and electronic powered carts. All replacement parts must be OEM or OEM sub-component parts with full manufacturer warranties. Services are required on an as-needed basis. Specific requirements include:
1. Must be an authorized Toyota Material Handling repair provider.
2. Provide documentation confirming authorization status.
3. Maintain a repair facility within a 15-mile radius of specified locations.
4. Provide services during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
5. Provide repair estimates within 24 hours of equipment acceptance.
6. Obtain approval from the Shop Supervisor before commencing repairs.
7. Ensure security for all County equipment in possession.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will remain valid for a period of 365 days after the solicitation closing date.

2. Collins Yard (Shop 2), 2023 W. Collins Avenue, Orange, CA 92867
3. Civic Center Garage (CCG), 445 W. Civic Center Drive, Santa Ana, CA 92701.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Local Small Business by the County of Orange or as a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE). They must maintain their principal center of operations within Orange County and have valid business licenses or certificates issued by the County or an Orange County city. Bidders are also required to provide proof of active registration with the California Secretary of State and possess a valid D-U-N-S number prior to contract award.
