Encampment Cleanup Services

Background
The City of San José is seeking qualified vendors to provide Encampment Cleanup Services. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and safety in areas affected by encampments, aligning with the City’s mission to enhance community well-being. This solicitation aims to make multiple awards to pre-qualified vendors for the specified services.

Work Details
The services required under this contract include, but are not limited to:

1. Removal of debris and waste from encampment sites;
2. Cleaning and sanitizing areas affected by encampments;
3. Proper disposal of hazardous materials, if present;
4. Coordination with city officials and other stakeholders during cleanup operations;
5. Adherence to all local regulations regarding waste disposal and environmental protection.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement will be one year, with six optional one-year extensions available, allowing for a total potential duration of seven years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the City of San José, California.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with the City’s Living Wage Policy and provide proof of compliance with applicable labor laws. Additionally, vendors must have a valid San José Business Tax Certificate and may qualify for Local and Small Business Enterprise preferences if they meet specific criteria.
