Background
The Kern High School District is issuing a contract for the East Bakersfield High School Career Center AV Upgrade.
The goal of this project is to enhance the audio-visual capabilities of the Career Center by installing a state-of-the-art audio-visual sound system, which aligns with the district's mission to provide quality education and facilities for its students.
Work Details
Contractors are required to provide and install a professionally engineered audio-visual sound system that includes:
- Three (3) commercial-grade flat-panel TVs supporting full HD or 4K resolution, to be installed in key locations as determined by site administration.
- Secure commercial-grade mounts for wall or ceiling installation of each TV.
- Wall input plates allowing connection to all TVs or independent operation through a digital media switcher.
- A new audio amplifier connected to ceiling-mounted speakers for optimal sound distribution.
- A Touch Panel for controlling all audio and visual components, installed at a location specified by school administration.
- Professional programming of settings and EQ ranges for optimal sound quality.
- Installation of control system components, including a digital signal processor, amplifier, and microphones within a contractor-provided Middle Atlantic equipment rack featuring a locking plexiglass front door and storage drawer.
- Two wireless microphones along with necessary equipment for presentations and events.
- An Assistive Listening System (ALS) transmitter with receivers to accommodate 4% of the room’s occupancy.
The entire system must be integrated and delivered as fully operational upon completion.
Period of Performance
The project is anticipated to start on approximately August 18, 2025, with a duration of ten calendar days for completion.
