Compactor Maintenance and Repair Services

Background
The County of San Mateo is seeking Compactor Maintenance and Repair Services through the Department of Public Works. The County covers most of the San Francisco Peninsula, providing for the health and welfare of its residents. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of four trash compactors used daily for waste management in various facilities.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide 'as-needed' maintenance and repairs for four trash compactors located in Redwood City, CA. Services include:
- Repairs to damaged or malfunctioning components such as hydraulic pistons, lift arms, electrical controllers, and structural parts.
- On-call service both on-site and at the vendor's facility.
- Response times of 24 hours for emergency repairs and 72 hours for non-emergency repairs.
- Diagnostics to determine service needs.
- Written quotes detailing required parts, labor, transport costs, and additional anticipated costs.
- Scheduling visits during standard DPW hours (Monday-Friday, 5am-4pm).
- Provision of all necessary tools and equipment.
- Adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Use of original or approved replacement parts.
- Compliance with all applicable laws.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a maximum term of five years with a not-to-exceed amount of $150,000.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations in Redwood City, CA including specific addresses for each compactor.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must have been providing similar services for at least four years within the last seven years. The account manager must have a minimum of two years' experience in account services within the last five years. Proposers must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide their Business Name and Unique Entity ID (UEI).
