Citywide Procurement of Personal Computer Hardware

Background
The City of San José is soliciting bids for the procurement of personal computer hardware to support its operations. Work Details
Vendors are required to provide a complete set of product specifications for all items as specified in Form 4 - Proposed Product Specifications. The City will issue a purchase order for an initial one-year period, with fixed pricing during this term. After the initial period, there may be up to six additional one-year options for purchasing specified products or their next generation equivalents. All products must be new and unused unless otherwise specified. Vendors are encouraged to offer environmentally preferable products, including Energy Star certified items.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over an initial term of one year, with options for up to six additional one-year extensions, totaling a potential seven years.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in San José, California, with deliveries made to designated locations within the city as specified in purchase orders.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with local business enterprise (LBE) and small business enterprise (SBE) preferences as outlined in Chapter 4.12 of the San José Municipal Code. To qualify for LBE preference, vendors must have a valid San José Business Tax Certificate and a legitimate business presence in Santa Clara County with at least one full-time employee. Bidders must also submit required forms including the Response Certification Form and Customer Reference Form.
