CHP San Andreas Area office Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services

Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number 25C255002 for Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services.

The CHP's mission is to ensure the safety and security of California's highways. This contract aims to support their operations by providing necessary towing and storage services for evidence impoundment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Evidence Impound Tow and Storage Services as detailed in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work.'

This includes the towing of vehicles that are impounded as evidence, secure storage of these vehicles, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The contractor must perform at least 75% of the services themselves, with no more than 25% subcontracted. Additionally, the contractor must be a Rotation Tow provider in good standing on the CHP San Andreas Area office Tow Service Agreement.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on October 1, 2025, and will run through September 30, 2028.

The agreement may be extended based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the CHP San Andreas Area office located at 601 North 7th Street, Sacramento, CA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Local City or County Business License. They must not have had any suspensions from the CHP within the past three years.

Bidders are required to comply with all terms outlined in section N of the IFB regarding agreements. Additionally, bidders must certify their willingness to comply with insurance requirements as specified in Exhibit E.
