Background
The Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area (SRA) is managed by the California Department of Parks and Recreation, which aims to provide recreational opportunities while preserving natural resources.

The Sawpit Launch Ramp Extension Project seeks to enhance the functionality and safety of the launch ramps at Silverwood Lake by extending the existing facilities.

Work Details
Contractors are required to furnish all necessary services, labor, materials, tools, equipment, personnel, supervision, insurance bonds, licenses, and permit fees for the project.

The scope includes:
1. Fabrication and installation of four new dock sections and four new skids—two dock sections and two skids on both the East and West docks at the launch ramps.
2. Ensuring that half of the launch ramp remains open for public use during construction.
3. Connecting new dock sections to existing structures and installing new galvanized chains and linkages for functional mobility.
4. Final cleanup and disposal of all construction debris at Silverwood Lake SRA in San Bernardino County, California.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within a specified duration following the issuance of a written Authorization to Commence Work Notice.

The bid due date is set for November 22, 2024.
