Bids will be received at the office of the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), located at 303 Big Trees Park Road, Felton, CA 95018, telephone (831) 335-6318, up to 2:00:00 PM Pacific Time, Friday April 5, 2024, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read for performing the work as follows: Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to: Provide lead abatement and structure hardening at a State residence in Portola Redwoods State Park complete and in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore and such addenda thereto as may be issued prior to bid opening date. A minimum of 6% DVBE Participation is required for this solicitation. The contractor agrees to complete all the work within ninety (90) calendar days from the date of written notice to commence work. This includes the ten (10) calendar days allowed for the Contractor to begin work. The contract term for this agreement is June 1, 2024 (or upon DPR approval whichever is later) through May 31, 2025, or one year from DPR approval, whichever is later. License(s) Required: C-33 Painting License, or General B License, or General A License Estimate: $ 130,000.00 Note: A mandatory job walk-through will be held on March 27, 2024 (weather permitting) beginning at 9:00 AM. Attendees will meet at the Portola Redwoods Visitor Center, 9000 Portola State Park Road, La Honda, CA 94020 and we will travel to the job site as a group. This letter must be included with bid submission. When contract is awarded, the Contractor will be required to submit Payment and Performance bonds to DPR within ten (10) calendar days. Bids Exceeding $250,000 shall have enclosed cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond, executed as surety by a corporation authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California in an amount equal to at least 10% of amount of bid. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure that their bid/proposal arrives at the designated location before the specified due date and time. No bid will be considered unless it is made on a standard bid form furnished by the Department of Parks and Recreation, and is made in accordance with the "Instructions to Bidders." Bids must be submitted for the entire work as described herein. The Department of Parks and Recreation reserves the right to waive any irregularity in a bid or to reject any or all bids. The apparent low bidder will be required to execute a contractual agreement in the form of a "Standard Agreement - Form 213" which shall be binding upon the State of California only upon approval by the State.
