Background
The State of California, through the Department of General Services, is issuing a solicitation for the reroofing of DSH Building T at Patton State Hospital.

The project is part of the Real Estate Services Division's efforts to maintain and improve state facilities. The goal of this contract is to ensure the integrity and safety of the building's roofing system, which is crucial for protecting the facility and its occupants.

Work Details
The project includes the following major components:
1) Tear off existing clay tile roofing and damaged substrate;
2) Make repairs to roof structure as required;
3) Install a new standing seam metal roof and single-ply roof.

Additionally, contractors must perform asbestos abatement work for a lump sum of $25,000 and lead-based paint removal for another lump sum of $25,000. The total bid will be determined based on these work items.

Period of Performance
The term of this project is 305 calendar days from the date of contract award.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Patton State Hospital located in San Bernardino, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid California Contractor's License (Class B). They are required to submit copies of valid Certificates of Reported Compliance (CRC) for any fleet vehicles used in accordance with California Air Resources Board regulations.

Bidders must also comply with health and safety mandates from federal, state, and local authorities. A mandatory pre-bid site inspection is scheduled for February 24, 2026, at Patton State Hospital. Additionally, bidders must register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and meet Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirements.
