Riata Detention Basin Construction

Work Requested:
The County of Mohave is soliciting bids for the construction of the Riata Detention Basin. The scope of work includes:

• Construction of a single detention basin located on Flood Control District land west of the City of Kingman, accessible via City of Kingman parcel number 305-02-213.
• Excavation and embankment to form the basin.
• Installation of rock lining on the downstream face of the embankment.
• Construction of a rock primary outlet spillway.
• Placement of an outlet pipe below the spillway crest.

This solicitation is issued by the County of Mohave on behalf of the Flood Control District.

Background:
The Riata Detention Basin project is intended to enhance flood control capabilities in the area west of Kingman. The project site is situated within a portion of Section 2, Township 21 North, Range 17 West. The anticipated construction cost range for this project is between Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) and Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000).

Contract Requirements:
Qualified respondents are required to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the construction as specified. The basin must be constructed according to the outlined design, including all excavation, embankment, rock lining, spillway, and outlet pipe installation.
