Background
The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is the state's largest municipality with a mission to ensure a safe, secure, and prosperous environment for its residents. The Public Works Department is seeking a qualified and licensed contractor to provide aggregate hauling services for the Solid Waste Division. This initiative aims to utilize Base Aggregate SB-2, B-stone, and soil for covering and filling over a specified period.
Work Details
The contractor will provide aggregate hauling services including:
- Hauling Base Aggregate SB-2
- Hauling B-stone
- Hauling soil.
The vendor must have up to five (5) trucks that are 18-ton, tri-axle dump trucks or larger. The materials will either be stockpiled or dumped directly in the Class 1 landfill or haul roads as directed by the Solid Waste Management Staff.
The vendor shall supply a ticket from the material supplier for each load delivered. Hours of hauling will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The vendor must begin hauling within twenty-four (24) hours of request and shall not place limits on the number of loads to be hauled at each request.
Period of Performance
The contract term will be for one (1) year with the possibility of extending for up to two (2) additional one (1) year terms upon mutual written agreement.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed within Little Rock, Arkansas.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a valid Pulaski County Hauling Permit prior to performing any work on this project. Vendors must also maintain state-required workmen’s compensation and other insurance, providing proof of insurance located in each vehicle providing service. Additionally, vendors are required to certify that they do not engage in boycotts against Israel or certain industries as specified by Arkansas law.
