Outdoor Power Equipment

Background
The City of Birmingham, Alabama, is seeking bids for Outdoor Power Equipment under Invitation to Bid #26-26. The purpose of this contract is to fulfill the outdoor power equipment needs of various city departments. The equipment must be commercial grade and suitable for municipal use. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract based on its best interests.

The contract includes the provision of various outdoor power equipment, specifically:

4. STIHL Hedge Trimmer - HS-56 (4 units)
5. STIHL Extended Reach Hedge Trimmer - HL-94 (4 units)
6. STIHL Pole Pruner - HT-132 (5 units)
7. STIHL Pole Pruner - HT-56-C-E (5 units)
8. STIHL Edger - FC-91 (6 units)
9. STIHL Chainsaw - MS-261-C-M (4 units)
10. STIHL Backpack Blower - BR-450 (6 units)
11. HUSQVARNA Tree Saw - T540-XP-II (2 units)
12. HUSQVARNA Chainsaw - 372-XP-X-TORQ (2 units)
13. HONDA Tiller - F220 (5 units)
14. HONDA Mower 21” - HRC216HXA (4 units)
15. SCAG V-Ride 36” Mower - SVII-36A-15FS (2 units).

All equipment must be new, unused, and fully assembled except for fuel or oil.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective upon award and will last for a minimum of one year, with a maximum duration of three years contingent upon mutual agreement and council approval.

Place of Performance
The equipment will be delivered to the City of Birmingham, Alabama.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Birmingham for any bid exceeding $10,000, along with a completed W-9 tax form and a current year City of Birmingham business license.

Bidders must also provide documentation proving enrollment in the E-Verify program and comply with insurance requirements including general liability insurance with specified coverage limits.
