Overview
Grant Description
Application purpose: The City of Wichita Falls Transit System (FALLSRIDE) will program its annual allocation for preventive maintenance, the purchase of two (2) 35 ft low floor heavy duty buses, and operations.
Activities performed: The grant will purchase two buses, preventive maintenance, and operations.
Expected outcomes: Assist the Wichita Falls Transit System by replacing units that are no longer within their useful life and are unable to maintain the day-to-day mechanical functions required to provide maintenance for the existing fleet.
Intended beneficiaries: The Wichita Falls Transit System will continue to provide the community with the freedom to pursue opportunities, make choices, and enjoy greater mobility.
This system will continue to create neighborhoods that are strong, an environment that is clean, and a local economy that is prosperous.
The Wichita Falls Transit System is undertaking these projects to ensure greater freedom, safety, and security for public transportation in the community.
The system will continue to improve the quality of life of passenger clientele, create a stronger livable community, enhance community's appearance, and support cleaner air.
Subrecipient activities: The City of Wichita Falls Transit System does not have sub-recipients.
