Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
The Seldovia Village in Alaska will develop the "Seldovia Storybook" project, a collaborative learning and sharing effort to preserve the rich history and cultural traditions of the native community of Seldovia.
The project will result in a book created by multigenerational participants that illuminates the community's voices and captures everyone’s unique perspectives.
The Seldovia Village will host six sessions over the project’s period of performance to record everyone’s stories and memories of Seldovia's native heritage, history, and culture.
This project is part of a larger initiative to preserve community stories, history, culture, and subsistence traditions as remembered by community elders.
