Overview
Grant Description
The project description of the proposed Cooperative Institute consists of three parts. Part A provides an overview of the proposed research, including a brief discussion of new capabilities; a description of the geographical focus; a summary of the vision, mission, and goals; and a description of institutional commitments and contributions.
Part B describes the four proposed research themes, how the predecessor Cooperative Institute's research activities align with these research themes, and NOAA's research and development needs within these themes. In particular, Part B notes what research activities and capabilities of the predecessor Cooperative Institute are proposed to continue, and describes new capabilities and research activities that are proposed, specifically noting how these research capabilities and activities support NOAA's research and development needs.
Finally, Part C of the project description describes the infrastructure support (including new capabilities) for the project.
