Description

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), West Africa's Regional Peace and Governance Office (RPGO) is interested in seeking organizations working in the local, national, and cross-border level on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Countering Trafficking-in-Persons (C-TIP) in West Africa (inclusive of Coastal West Africa (CWA), the Sahel, and Cameroon) and their particular approaches (community/local, national or cross-border level). We are particularly interested in responses concerning organizations active in the CWA countries of Benin, C te d'Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Togo, and Cameroon. To that end, USAID/WA/RPGO is reaching out to all local stakeholders to obtain insight into the composition of these sectors.

Background
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), West Africa’s Regional Peace and Governance Office (RPGO) is interested in seeking organizations working in the local, national, and cross-border level on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Countering Trafficking-in-Persons (C-TIP) in West Africa. The goal is to obtain insight into the composition of these sectors and to better understand the complexities of efforts ongoing in these spaces.

Grant Details
The grant aims to address core human rights concerns and massive humanitarian and development challenges related to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Trafficking in Persons (TIP). The grant will focus on prevention, mitigation, response, or other specific approaches to combat SGBV and C-TIP. It will cover a geographic scope inclusive of Coastal West Africa (CWA), the Sahel, and Cameroon. The grant will also seek input on effective SGBV efforts in low-resource environments, bright spots, demand for cross-border or regional approaches to SGBV in West Africa, existing partnerships, platforms, networks between groups across borders, and other donor-funded SGBV projects working in the region.

Eligibility Requirements
Organizations working at the local, national, and cross-border level on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Countering Trafficking-in-Persons (C-TIP) in West Africa are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to organizations active in the CWA countries of Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Togo, and Cameroon.
