Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Research Education Program supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The overarching goal of the Research Education program is to support educational activities that complement and/or enhance training of a workforce to meet the nation's biomedical, behavioral and clinical research needs; help recruit individuals with specific specialty or disciplinary backgrounds to research careers in biomedical, behavioral and clinical sciences; and foster a better understanding of biomedical, behavioral and clinical research and its implications. To accomplish this far-reaching goal, this opportunity will support creative educational activities with an emphasis on Research Experiences. Programs focused on research experiences may incorporate elements such as mentoring, courses, curriculum and methods development, outreach, and career development to prepare participants for careers that will have a significant impact on the health-related research needs of the Nation. Grant authorities that allow NIH to forecast this opportunity are as follows: Sections 301 and 405 of the Public Health Service Act as amended (42 USC 241 and 284) and under Federal Regulations 42 CFR Part 52 and 2 CFR Part 200.

Grant Details
The Vendor shall deliver all laptop computers, desktop computers, and hardware components as defined in the technical specifications of the Bill of Materials (BOM). The Vendor is responsible for certifying the functionality of all equipment prior to delivery and must demonstrate equivalence to the technical specifications outlined in the BOM. All equipment must comply with the CBP Technical Reference Model (TRM). The Vendor will also provide test units for evaluation at no additional charge if requested by the Contracting Officer. Deliverables include Operations Manuals, Equipment Specifications, Invoicing references to line items, Order Tracking Updates weekly including serial numbers and delivery details, and Packing slips with required information.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility is inferred to be organizations capable of meeting technical specifications and compliance requirements.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall begin on the date the purchase order is awarded. Delivery of all products described in this SOW is required within 30 days of award.

Grant Value
The total value of the grant includes potential individual grant awards based on compliance with technical specifications.

Place of Performance
The specific geographic locations for performance include various locations within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), particularly noted addresses such as 1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC.
