Advanced Space Technology Research and Optimization (ASTRO) Virtual
Industry Day

Introduction
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Directed Energy Directorate Space
Electro Optics Division (RDS), will host a Virtual Industry Day on 28 July 2021 from
12:00 PM MDT 3:00 PM MDT. The Virtual Industry Day will provide further insight to
the Advanced Space Technology Research and Optimization (ASTRO) draft Request

for Proposal posted on SAM.gov

Objective
The ASTRO Virtual Industry Day is an excellent opportunity for the Government and

Industry partners to meet, enhance awareness, and gain further understanding of the

ASTRO draft RFP. The ASTRO Virtual Industry Day will provide a forum for industry to

gain knowledge and insights into the ASTRO requirement, acquisition, and contract

structure to ensure greater understanding on both sides of the acquisition.

Registration
To register for the ASTRO Virtual Industry Day the following is required:

1. All interested parties MUST complete the registration form (Attachment 1) and
return it to the Leandra Lee-Bass at leandra.lee-bass.1@us.af.mil no later than 21
July 2021. Attendees must be U.S. citizens. No more than two people per
firm will be allowed to attend the Virtual BFI; per firm is further defined as

division/subsection of a company.

2. To allow discussions at an appropriate level of detail, all non-Government
attendees will be required to be U.S. citizens and to supply a copy of their

organizations DD2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, no later
than 21 July 2021 (prior to being confirmed for registration). Details
regarding acquiring and submitting a DD2345 are available on the Defense

Logistics Agency/Joint Certificate website

3. Registration applicants who do not provide all necessary items by 21 July
2021 will not be approved to attend this event. (Registration Forms are

attached).

4. Approved attendees will receive a zoom link via email.
