Mississippi river baton rouge to gulf, saltwater barrier sill, cutterhead dredge contract #1-25. The contractor will utilize a dredge and attendant plant to construct and potentially maintain a saltwater barrier sill between mile 63.0 and mile 64.0 Above Head Of Passes (AHP) on the Mississippi river by placing hydraulically dredged material from a designated borrow area. The project includes constructing the sill to specified dimensions, performing daily safety inspections, submitting an accident prevention plan with required safety forms, developing a dive plan for diving operations, erecting and maintaining safety and project signs, and implementing emergency alarms and signaling systems on floating plants used during construction.
