The project consists of a 1,200-FOOT long extension to the existing nome causeway, including a layered aggregate and rock embankment protected by 18-TON armor stone. The extension incorporates a 30-FOOT wide road surface, a 600-FOOT long open-cell sheet pile dock, and includes removal of the 250-FOOT long spur breakwater and existing 22-TON armor stone and B rock underlayer at the nose of the causeway.
