Government Description
Design and construct physical fitness center, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The project includes an elevated four-lane 200-METER indoor track, cardio and weight training modules, locker rooms, control desk, administrative area, lobby, laundry, elevator, and storage. Work involves special foundations, cybersecurity, antiterrorism/force protection (AT/FP) measures, building information systems, fire protection and alarm systems, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation, Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) connection, sustainability and energy enhancements, site development, utilities, storm drainage, paving, parking, walkways, lighting, landscaping, signage, and connection to the existing steam district heating system. Additional work includes structural, architectural, interior, landscape, civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, and communication design and construction administration; leed assistance; fire protection engineering; commissioning; energy modeling; roofing and insulation; elevator, tile, casework, flooring, and turf installation; rebar insulation; deep dynamic compaction; surveying; earthwork; air testing, balancing, sound testing, and thermal imaging.
