Government Description
Artificial Intelligence Reinforcements (AIR) phase 1. Supports the development of dominant tactical autonomy for multi-ship, beyond visual range AIR combat missions, with autonomy solutions initially demonstrated on human-on-the-loop F-16 testbeds and later transferred to uncrewed combat aerial vehicles. The AIR program will create a robust ai AIR combat capability compatible with existing sensors, electronic warfare, and weapons in dynamic, operationally representative environments, and will also develop processes for rapid design, testing, and delivery of future AIR software products. Research focuses on innovative approaches that enable revolutionary advances in science, devices, and systems for autonomous AIR-combat mission capabilities.

The modification brings the total cumulative face value of the contract to $17,261,425 from $5,875,330. Work will be performed in Woburn, Massachusetts (75%); Beavercreek, Ohio (20%); and Carlsbad, California (5%), with an expected completion date of February 2028.
