Management, operation, professional, technical and support services for niaid animal care facilities. Provides on-site support at multiple niaid and NIH animal research facilities, including the NIH main campus in bethesda, rockville, the NIH Animal Center (NIHAC) in poolesville, and Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) in hamilton, MT, as well as any new installations designated during the contract. Services include veterinary medical care, animal care, technical support, data management, cost accounting, cage and environmental sanitation, maintenance of animal care equipment and supplies, transportation, logistical, and administrative support for a wide range of animal species in ABSL1-ABSL4 environments. All activities must comply with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines to maintain aaalaci accreditation and support the scientific study and humane treatment of laboratory animals for biomedical research.
