Government Description
Construction services for the clarksburg courthouse modernization phase 1 include modernization of the existing facility to construct a new courtroom, judge’s elevator, and supporting clerk’s office spaces. The project involves space modifications within the usms area, relocation of the prisoner processing area, creation of a new isolation cell, demolition of existing areas, hazardous material abatement, and fire protection work. Structural modifications will be made to relocate building columns and strengthen for seismic and blast requirements, along with upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems and the addition of a new mechanical penthouse. All work will be performed in phases while the building remains occupied at 500 W. Pike st, clarksburg, WV.
