Yard Repair Berthing and Messing Barge (YRBM) Pre-solicitation Synopsis   3

Pursuant to FAR 19.5 Small Business Total Set-Asides, Partial Set-Asides, and Reserves, the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a Total Small Business Set-Aside solicitation in the December 2020 timeframe for the detail design and construction of up to six (6) Yard Repair Berthing and Messing YRBM(S) barges with associated supplies and services, under NAICS code 336611. The associated supplies and services consist of: technical data package; vendor recommended spare parts; crew familiarization; standalone water mist upgrade; and packaging and delivery to various locations. Additional details regarding this small business set-aside competitive solicitation will be published in a future synopsis. The purpose of this announcement is solely to inform all interested parties of the small business set aside determination.

02/05/2021 UPDATE: The Government would like feedback on increasing the barges from quantity 6 to quantity 10. Specifically, the Government is interested to know if small businesses have concerns with the accelerated building schedule.
