DESIGN-BID-BUILD MCON PROJECT KC-46A AIRCRAFT 3-BAY MAINTENANCE HANGAR   2

The work includes, but is not limited to, a 3-bay aircraft maintenance hangar with adjoining single-story structures containing a Hydraulic shop, ELEN shop general maintenance shops, and administration/support areas. The facility is programmed at approximately 174,300 ft2. Also, included as part of the 3-Bay program is the demolition of existing buildings. Construction will include reinforced concrete foundation, concrete floor slab, structural steel frame with split face concrete masonry unit fa ade and a standing seam metal roof. The project also includes all utilities, site improvements, pavements, communications infrastructure, environmental remediation, a fall protection system, fire detection, high expansion foam system in the hangar bay area and all other supporting work necessary to make a complete and useable facility. Facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-01, General Building Requirements, and UFC 1-200-02, High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements.
