Vegetation Management Mark Twain National Forest

Background
The contract is issued by the U.S. Forest Service for vegetation management within the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri. The agency's mission is to manage national forests and grasslands to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of these ecosystems.

The goal of this contract is to provide necessary labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, and licenses for stand improvement, site preparation, restoration, and herbicide treatments across various ranger districts.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:
1. Provide all labor, equipment, supplies, services, permits, and licenses necessary for vegetation management activities including stand improvement and site preparation by felling.
2. Conduct restoration efforts and herbicide treatments in designated areas of the Ava/Cassville/Willow Springs, Doniphan/Eleven Point, Houston/Rolla/Cedar Creek, Poplar Bluff, Potosi/Fredericktown, and Salem Ranger Districts.
3. Follow all State and Federal regulations including OSHA guidelines.
4. Ensure that felling specifications are adhered to as outlined in the performance work statement.
5. Maintain protection of land survey monuments and cultural resources during operations.
6. Dispose of refuse properly from operations on National Forest lands.
7. Implement erosion control measures as needed during operations.
8. Protect improvements adjacent to work areas from damage and restore any damaged improvements at contractor's expense.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed within the boundaries of the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri.
