VA - Par Excellence Onsite Representative - MRAS

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to support the Washington DC VA Medical Center's supply chain management needs. The medical center has implemented a weight-based point of use (POU) system, which enhances efficiency and accountability in managing clinical supplies. To ensure optimal performance and continuous operation of this system, the VA requires onsite representative support from an individual trained specifically on the Par Excellence weight-based POU system.

In October 2023, the DC VA Medical Center procured a contract for this advanced inventory management system through SAC, with Par Excellence as the vendor. The installation was successfully completed, and now there is a need for ongoing support to maintain and optimize the system's functionality. Greenbrier Government Solutions, Inc. is designated as the exclusive provider of PAR Excellence On-Site Resource (OSR) services, ensuring that only certified personnel handle support tasks related to this specialized equipment.

The scope of work involves providing one full-time Onsite Representative (OSR) who possesses comprehensive training and certification in operating and maintaining the Par Excellence POU system. This representative will be responsible for technical tasks such as troubleshooting, item registration/deregistration, bin/scale maintenance, and collaborating directly with various stakeholders at the medical center. The OSR will also play a crucial role in project assistance for both large-scale expansions and smaller inventory management projects.

Key responsibilities include maintaining operational structures within inventory points, analyzing errors related to packaging weights or unit issues, maximizing storage space through strategic analysis, and ensuring all scheduled macros are executed timely. In addition to these technical duties, the OSR will provide regular updates on actions taken and collaborate closely with both VISN 5 Supply Chain Analysts and other relevant departments within the VA to uphold supply chain efficiencies at the medical center.
