Background
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking offers from qualified individuals to provide personal services as a Markets Technical Advisor/Senior Markets Technical Advisor. This position is critical for supporting USAID's mission in humanitarian assistance, particularly in the areas of food security and livelihoods.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the effectiveness of programs that assist people and market systems during crises, ensuring they can meet basic needs and recover from disasters.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance throughout the BHA program cycle in areas such as food assistance, multipurpose cash assistance, and economic recovery and market systems. Key tasks include:
- Conducting in-country assessments and program design.
- Developing country strategies and reviewing concept notes and applications.
- Assisting in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and training for future programming.
- Managing team projects assigned by the team lead, including planning, organizing, and conducting analysis.
- Coordinating with stakeholders to resolve issues in FAM sector programming through innovative solutions.
- Building collaborative relationships across BHA, the USG, and the humanitarian community.
- Participating actively in technical discussions and forums.
- Serving on Disaster Assistance Response Teams (DARTs) or Response Management Teams (RMTs) as needed for disaster response efforts.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place in Washington D.C., with potential deployments to disaster areas as part of humanitarian response efforts.
