USDA - Gunnison RD Office Janitorial Contract - MRAS

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to identify capable contractors for a janitorial services contract at the Gunnison Ranger District (GRD) office located in Gunnison, Colorado. This initiative is part of USDA's ongoing efforts to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within its facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors alike.

The janitorial services required under this contract encompass comprehensive cleaning tasks across approximately 17,000 square feet of office space. The facility includes two full levels and two half levels, featuring diverse areas such as a conference room, lobby, mailroom/file room, supply room, four restrooms, a large bomb shelter/basement, and numerous hallways and offices. The flooring consists of carpeted areas totaling 9,200 square feet, linoleum & tile covering 2,500 square feet, and concrete flooring spanning 5,300 square feet.

The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary transportation, labor, equipment, supervision, materials, and supplies required to perform the janitorial services as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Key tasks include regular weekly cleaning performed Monday through Friday after working hours between 5:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Additionally, monthly cleaning will occur on the first Saturday after working hours. Specialized services such as window washing are scheduled biannually while carpet cleaning along with floor stripping and waxing are conducted annually.

Contractors must ensure minimal interference with government personnel or operations during service delivery. They should also accommodate adjustments due to federal holidays or unexpected closures by coordinating with the Contracting Officer (CO) or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). This project presents an opportunity for qualified contractors to contribute their expertise towards supporting USDA's operational goals by maintaining a clean and efficient work environment at the Gunnison Ranger District office.
