USACE - Whole Center Repairs - MCRC Kaneohe Bay - HI - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), is conducting market research to explore capabilities related to a significant renovation project at the Marine Corps Reserve Center (MCRC) located in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. The primary objective of this initiative is to address various structural and functional deficiencies across multiple buildings within the reserve center, thereby restoring them to full operational capability. This project will be carried out under a competitive design-bid-build contract framework, ensuring that the most qualified contractors are selected for the task.

The scope of work for this project is extensive and involves a comprehensive overhaul of several key facilities, including Buildings 1181, 1399, 1400, and 1652. General tasks applicable across these buildings include replacing rusted exterior door hardware and metal panel fasteners, alongside repainting efforts to enhance durability. Building-specific tasks range from complete ceiling replacements with acoustic tiles in Building 1181, installation of new storefront window systems, and removal of interior door louvers for repainting. Additionally, there will be significant HVAC system upgrades to ensure efficient climate control throughout.

Further detailed work includes mold remediation in Buildings 1399 and 1400's telecom rooms and addressing water damage issues through ceiling replacements and roof resealing efforts. In Building 1652, there will be an overhaul involving the replacement of failing insulation with insulated metal wall panels meeting specified R-value standards for improved energy efficiency. This building will also undergo bathroom renovations with updated fixtures and signage while enhancing its mechanical systems by adding cooling capabilities.
