The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - Pacific, in support of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, intends to make a sole source award to Combat Medical for the purchase of TruBodie Cadaver Simulator(s). Combat Medical is the sole provider of theseTruBodie Cadaver Simulators for lifelike medical training. The authority permitting this award without providing full and open competition is cited in FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i) which authorizes the government to award contracts when there is only one source reasonably available (e.g.urgency, exclusive licensing agreement, brand name or industrial mobilization).
