Request for Information: Wide Area Surveillance Package Family of Systems

ID: H92401_WASP_RFI • Type: Sources Sought

Description

United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) may have the need to procure wide area surveillance package (WASP) family of systems (FoS). USSOCOM is requesting information in the form of a capability statement on existing industry products that fill or can be modified to fill this need.

Background
United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is seeking to procure the Wide Area Surveillance Package (WASP) family of systems (FoS). The WASP systems are scalable, modular, processing platforms that ingest, record and store, analyze, display, export sensor data, and command and control (C2) sensors. These systems are intended to provide advanced internet protocol (IP) digital video using high definition or greater video input streams from wired or wireless cameras. The core of the WASP system is its ability to process sensor and video data through a central compute hub device and digital video recorder (DVR), providing days to weeks of recorded information storage for operator viewing, retrieval, and analysis. The system can be utilized in light/medium/heavy configurations dependent upon mission requirements and is expected to integrate multiple sensors and cameras that provide the SOF operator a capability to capture information at the tactical edge and push it to the rear echelon(s) for further dissemination.

Work Details
The work involves integrating and disseminating sensor and camera information for different mission sets. This includes specific requirements for each variant of the WASP system such as the number of cameras, sensors, ability to record, analyze, view live or remotely view cameras and sensors, exportability to COP (Common Operating Picture), ruggedization for worldwide operations, compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, anti-tamper requirements, use of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), production capacity for each variant on a per year basis, approximate timeline estimate for long lead-time or supply chain constrained items, compliance with DFARS 225.7 Prohibited Sources, and more. Respondents are required to submit a Capability Statement addressing these specific requirements along with company information including existing contract vehicles, facility and personnel security clearance status.
