Request for Information (RFI) Regarding Industry Availability of Webcam / Headset Kits

Background
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Program Executive Office, Command, Control, Communication, and Computers (PEO‐C4), Special Operations Command Research and Threat Evaluation System (SOCRATES) Program intends to make a one-time purchase of up to 5,000 kits each consisting of a single webcam and a single headset. These kits will provide video/audio capability in support of the SOCRATES Universal Communications (UC) architecture.

Work Details
The work involves the procurement of up to 5,000 kits, each comprising a single webcam and a single headset. The webcam is defined as a video camera without an internal microphone attached to a workstation that has the primary purpose of broadcasting video utilizing approved software applications across the USSOCOM SOCRATES Enterprise. The headset is defined as a device attached to a workstation that allows hands-free receiving and push-to-talk transmitting of audio utilizing approved software applications across the USSOCOM SOCRATES Enterprise. The RFI outlines the technical characteristics required for both webcams and headsets, including TAA compliance, specific features for webcams such as 1080p video resolution and no Bluetooth capability, and for headsets such as push-to-talk switch and no wireless capability. Interested parties are requested to respond with a white paper addressing their capability to meet the requirements outlined in the RFI and provide rough-order-of-magnitude costs for each component and kits at different quantities.
