Repair and Maintenance Support Services - K5900 Side Scan System   4

Background
The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk Contracting Department intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract to Klein Marine Systems for repair and maintenance support services for the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO).

NAVOCEANO operates a fleet of ten Klein Marine Systems K5900 tow fish systems used for collecting physical oceanographic data. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational readiness of these systems through timely evaluations and repairs.

Work Details
The contractor will provide both materials and services on an as-needed basis for the Klein Marine Systems K5900 tow fish and related topside equipment, including:
- Topside Interface Unit (TIU)
- High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS)
- Sonar Processing Unit (SPU)

Specific tasks include:
1. Full system and single component evaluations on equipment to determine necessary service materials and engineering work units required to restore full functionality.
2. Provision of new replacement components for the K5900 systems as needed.
3. Evaluation reports must include:
- Amount of service material units and/or service engineer work units necessary for repairs or replacements.
- Proposed work to be performed.
- Expected completion time if repairs exceed 100 days.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall be for one base year with four options to extend for additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the contractor's facility, with equipment shipped to and from the Naval Oceanographic Office located at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.
