Description

RAPID CITY CREW BUILDING - RAPID CITY NORTH O&M SERVICE CENTER - GEOLOGIC INVESTIGATION, PENNINGTON COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA
Background
The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) is designing a new Crew Building to be constructed at the Rapid City North O&M Service Center. Geologic information is required to design and construct the building’s reinforced-concrete foundation. The project area is located east of Rapid City, SD along Interstate 90.

Work Details
The task includes geologic mapping, subsurface investigation, laboratory testing, and the preparation of a report.
The contractor is required to drill four bore holes near the location of the future building’s corners as shown on drawing RCN T003 and in Appendix B.
Final documents shall be provided with stamps and signatures of a professional engineer currently licensed in the state where the project is located.
