Description

The Indian Health Service (IHS), Phoenix Area Office (PAO) Department of Acquisition (DAM), is procuring for a Contractor to provide Clinical and Laboratory Microscope preventative maintenance and repair services. In order to ensure that the clinical and laboratory microscopes provides reliable and consistent results with minimum downtime, it is necessary to obtain routine maintenance and calibration services by field service engineers and technicians with specific technical expertise and manufacturer-certified replacement parts. The services are required to ensure equipment is maintained to operating specification, which meet or exceed the original equipment manufacturer's requirements and recommendations.

Background
The Indian Health Service (IHS), Phoenix Area Office (PAO) in Phoenix, Arizona, is responsible for delivering healthcare to approximately 140,000 Native American users across Arizona, Nevada, California, and Utah.

The PAO oversees a network of health care facilities that partner with over forty tribes and includes both IHS and tribally-operated facilities as well as Urban Indian Health programs.

The goal of this contract is to procure clinical and laboratory microscope preventative maintenance and repair services to ensure reliable operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will provide clinical and laboratory microscope services including:

1) Preventative Maintenance/Planned Maintenance: Scheduled routine maintenance in compliance with OEM requirements to verify operation within acceptable parameters, identify faults or damage, and ensure safety. This includes testing and inspecting devices at specified intervals (annually, semiannually, quarterly) and replacing parts as needed.

2) Repair/Corrective Maintenance: Services required to return a device to proper operating condition when a fault is identified. This includes testing the faulty equipment and providing necessary repairs.

The contractor must provide qualified personnel for on-site visits to each service unit for preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repair services. All services must comply with OEM specifications, ANSI/AAMI standards, NFPA 99, and Joint Commission requirements. The contractor is responsible for all necessary personnel, labor, facilities, equipment, parts, materials, and supplies for the required technical support.
