Description

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), is conducting market research to gather information for a potential contract supporting the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Enterprise-Wide HR Mentoring Programs. The DLA is a critical component in the Department of Defense, responsible for providing logistics support to military services and civilian agencies. The overarching goal of this initiative is to enhance workforce development through structured mentoring programs that align with DLA's strategic objectives.

This solicitation seeks non-personal services to provide comprehensive mentoring support across DLA's various geographical locations. The contractor will be responsible for supervising their employees while delivering these services. The primary focus is on developing a robust mentoring program that involves both formal and situational mentorship opportunities, tailored to meet individual developmental needs within the organization. This program aims to foster a culture of mentorship within DLA, preparing employees for future challenges and fostering an environment conducive to productivity, positive morale, and employee retention.

The contractor will be tasked with supplying experienced facilitators who can assess developmental needs and capabilities, provide feedback systems, and evaluate employee progress throughout the mentoring process. These facilitators will assist participants in effectively utilizing a web-based tool designed by the contractor for developing personal mentoring plans. Through this program, junior employees will receive guidance from subject matter experts, while mentors will have opportunities to refine their coaching skills and groom future leaders.

Overall, this initiative aims to build a well-rounded cadre of employees capable of achieving DLA's long-term objectives by enhancing communication and collaboration across the agency. By focusing on both organizational goals such as knowledge transfer and improved performance and individual goals like preparing employees for future roles the program seeks to create an open environment where information sharing is prioritized, ultimately benefiting both mentors and mentees alike.
