Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport, in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for the provision of maintenance and calibration services. The primary goal of this initiative is to ensure the optimal functionality and reliability of critical equipment used at NUWC Keyport, located in Washington. This effort underscores the Navy's commitment to maintaining high operational standards for its technological assets, which are vital for undersea warfare operations.

The contract requires yearly maintenance services for one VRC Metal Systems Gen III Cold Spray System and two VRC Metal Systems Powder-feeders. Additionally, yearly calibration services are needed specifically for the VRC Gen III Cold Spray Unit. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, materials, travel, and labor to fulfill these requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The maintenance tasks include servicing components such as the Human-Machine Interface (HMI), flow gauges, ball valves, needle valves, thermocouples, and pressure transducers on the VRC Gen III System. Moreover, system pressure/leak checks and functional checks are integral parts of the service delivery.

Contractors will also perform yearly maintenance on two VRC Powder Feeder units without requiring calibration services. It is imperative that all materials consumed during these processes be supplied by the contractor. However, any non-standard repairs or replacement parts are not included in this order and would require separate contracting arrangements. Upon completion of each service cycle, a calibration performance report must be submitted to NUWC-Keyport's technical point of contact (POC), along with a sticker affixed to each gauge indicating pertinent service details.

To ensure seamless execution and adherence to security protocols at NUWC Keyport, all vendor employees must possess U.S. citizenship and complete necessary processing through the Pass & ID Office. The period of performance for this contract spans 60 days from award or exercise of option quantities with work conducted Monday through Thursday during specified hours excluding federal holidays. This strategic partnership aims not only at maintaining equipment but also at fortifying national defense capabilities by ensuring that NUWC remains equipped with fully functional systems.
