Navy - Replace Fire Alarm Control Panel - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Navy, is conducting market research to identify capable contractors for a project at Naval Station Everett in Everett, Washington. The primary objective of this contract is to replace the existing Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) and associated devices in Building 1950. This initiative underscores the Navy's commitment to maintaining high safety standards and ensuring that all fire alarm systems are up-to-date and fully operational.

The scope of work includes not only the replacement of the FACP but also involves necessary electrical and mechanical connections. The contractor will be responsible for minor interior construction tasks, such as repairing interior partitions and providing firestopping penetrations where needed. An essential part of this project is ensuring that all work complies with D40 requirements, which are specific standards related to fire protection systems within military facilities.

Additionally, upon completion of the installation, the contractor must design, test, and commission the new fire alarm system. This ensures that everything functions correctly before being deemed operational. The contractor will also need to provide complete electronic Operations and Maintenance Support Information (eOMSI), which will assist Naval personnel in managing and maintaining the system post-installation.
