Description

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Navy, is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of providing performance verification services for the Acutronic Model BD357 Three-Axis Rate Table. This initiative is part of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport's (NUWC Keyport) ongoing efforts to ensure their Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) testing equipment meets Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications prior to production use. The goal is to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability in the equipment used for critical defense applications.

The scope of work involves a comprehensive performance verification and calibration of the Acutronic Model BD357 Three-Axis Rate Table. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all necessary equipment and documentation required for this task. Specific tests include position accuracy and repeatability, rate accuracy and stability, slipring noise measurement, bandwidth assessment, acceleration checks across all axes, maximum rate determination on each axis, position readout validation, and rotational freedom analysis. These tests are crucial in certifying that the rate table operates within OEM specifications.

Additionally, the contract requires crating and round-trip shipping of calibration equipment as well as on-site services at NUWC Division Keyport. A field service technician will carry out these tasks following a detailed Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP-9374). If any repairs are identified during the calibration process, a separate quote will be submitted to cover those costs under a new contract. Furthermore, within a four-year contract period, there will be a one-time service involving belt replacement by an Acutronic Mechanical Assembler and Service Engineer on site.

The government will facilitate this process by providing necessary support such as engineering assistance during belt replacement activities and ensuring contractor access to facilities at NUWC Keyport in Keyport, WA. Security measures include obtaining visitor passes for contractors and providing escorts during site visits to maintain compliance with facility protocols.
