Work Details
The contractor's work includes removing the existing transitional ramp at the lock wall and the small vehicle ramp, preparing the subgrade, grading, and installing new concrete ramps as specified. Key tasks include:
1. Installation of a temporary access road for USACE personnel during construction.
2. Proof rolling of the subgrade before and after placing crushed stone base for the new ramps.
3. Testing all concrete used for the ramps as specified.
4. Proper disposal of all debris and spoils generated from construction activities.
5. Restoration of all disturbed areas to their original condition, including grading, seeding, and covering with straw.
6. Specific requirements for ramp dimensions: removal of an approximately 170 lineal feet by 10 feet wide existing ramp and installation of a new 12 feet wide concrete ramp.

Period of Performance
The contract work will begin within 14 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and is expected to be completed within 120 calendar days from that date.
