Industry Day - Training Services and Support

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) will hold an Industry Day on 31 July for Training Services and Support for the CDP's instructional programs.

The main objective of the Industry Day is to provide a forum for small and large business operations to receive an overview of CDP operations, goals and mission tasks. Additionally, it is intended that the Industry Day promote the sharing of ideas for increased effectiveness of the government and industry, and offer networking opportunities. During the Industry Day, CDP officials will provide an overview of the facility's training services requirements as they relate to the program's four functional areas: Training Material Production Services, Training Program Evaluations Services, Training Support Services, and Training Development and Delivery.

Statement of Objectives for each of these four functional areas is appended to this announcement.

The Industry Day will be held near Atlanta, GA, at the Double Tree Hotel (Tucker, GA). There will be no registration fee associated with attending this event. The event will last from approximately 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with sign-in beginning at approximately 7:30 a.m. Space is limited and all vendors should keep the number of attendees to no more than two representatives.

Registration for this event is due no later than 3:00pm EST, July 21st. Registration is via e-mail to gardnerl@cdpemail.dhs.gov. The subject line should read CDP Industry Day and in the body of the e-mail identify the names of the attendees, the name of the firm, address, phone, fax, e-mail address, and the functional area that most closely corresponds to the firm's expertise and capacities only. Also, if additional seats are needed, please contact this email address after July 23rd to inquire about any extra seats that may be available.

Parking is also available. Attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
