Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Architect and Engineering (AE) Services Contract for Mechanical and Electrical Design and Engineering Services Within NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic Region Primarily for Hampton Roads Area of Responsibility (HR AOR)   2

Background
The contract is issued by NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic, which is responsible for providing facilities support to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. The goal of this contract is to procure multi-discipline Architect-Engineer (AE) services for Mechanical and Electrical Design and Engineering Projects primarily within the Hampton Roads Area of Responsibility (HR AOR).

This procurement aims to enhance the capabilities of the agency in managing construction and renovation projects effectively.

Work Details
The IDIQ contract will encompass a variety of mechanical and electrical design and engineering services, including but not limited to:

1. Mechanical Design Services:
- Development of comprehensive contract packages for Design-Bid-Build plans/specifications or Design-Build RFPs for demolition, repair, replacement, extension, modification, and new construction of HVAC systems (including VAV systems, chillers, boilers), plumbing and piping systems (domestic water supply, fire protection), and facility-related control systems.

2. Electrical Design Services:
- Investigation and assessment of current infrastructure; preparation of project programming documents; design-build RFPs; high and medium voltage electrical utility systems concept design; environmental assessments; geotechnical services; engineering studies.

3. Additional responsibilities may include serving as consultants to in-house engineering design staff at Public Works Department locations within HR AOR.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this IDIQ contract is set for five years, not exceeding 60 months.

Place of Performance
The primary location for performance will be within the Hampton Roads Area of Responsibility (HR AOR).
