GSA AAS - Natick Army Support - MRAS

The General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS) is conducting market research to identify capable contractors for supporting the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center (DEVCOM SC). DEVCOM SC is renowned for its expertise in enhancing soldier and squad protection, systems integration, military rations, and field feeding equipment. The center's mission is to optimize soldier performance and increase combat readiness through innovative research and development in materials sciences, biochemistry, human performance, and systems engineering. By leveraging contractor support, DEVCOM SC aims to maximize the effectiveness of its projects while addressing the evolving needs of military operations.

The contract seeks engineering and scientific program support services to augment DEVCOM SC's limited resources in managing its diverse portfolio. This includes conducting studies, analyses, assessments, tests, and evaluations of military equipment such as personnel and cargo aerial delivery systems. The contractor will assist in evaluating various programs within divisions like the Aerial Delivery Division (ADD), Engineering Systems Division (ESD), and Combat Feeding Division (CFD). Responsibilities include providing expert assistance for government personnel with coordination, execution, documentation development, product testing, issue resolution, and ensuring all systems meet performance standards.

The scope of work encompasses program management and systems engineering support across several areas including combat rations technology development. Contractors will collaborate with project officers and acquisition specialists on activities related to acquisition processes such as writing system engineering plans and forming supportability strategies. Additionally, they will provide technical support for combat rations packaging quality assurance initiatives aimed at improving field food service equipment in response to changing warfare modes. By offering flexible on-site base support when needed along with supplemental expertise for key projects, contractors will play a pivotal role in advancing DEVCOM SC's mission objectives.
