Granular Activated Carbon(GAC) Replacement   3

The Offeror shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and certified labor necessary to provide a complete GAC media replacement, reactivation service for carbon tanks A, B, C, and D located on
the IWTP site at Hill AFB, Utah. The service will be conducted in a manner that will ensure continuous and safe operation by technicians certified to operate pneumatic-bulk slurry trailers. IWTP has six (6) GAC absorber tanks. The tanks are approximately 9.5 feet in diameter with a freeboard height of approximately 8 feet, and contain approximately 16530 lbs. of GAC in each tank. GAC in these tanks is exposed to wastewater containing a variety of organic chemicals and heavy metals from various industrial operations, and may consist of RCRA hazardous waste as defined by the US EPA and the Utah Department of Environmental Quality.

A site visit will be conducted 03 December 2021 at 10 a.m.
We will meet at the South Gate Visitor Center parking lot.
A list of attendees including drivers license numbers must be submitted no later than 24 November 2021.
Access: Hill AFB is not an open base and you must have a valid ID. Anyone who does not have the necessary identification to enter the base must make arrangements with Chris Ferguson to be vouched onto the installation.
