FY20 Duluth Vessel Yard Repairs   3

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking contractors for the Duluth Vessel Yard Repairs construction contract.

The scope of work entails mobilizing to the site in Duluth-Superior Harbor, MN-WI and repairs to the Duluth Vessel Yard Piers. The total length of repairs is approximately 900 linear feet including options. The proposed project primarily consists of installing steel sheet pile (SSP) around the outside face of the existing south pier to encapsulate the existing pier. Work will also include the installation of improved pier lighting and a potable water line along the south pier.

The estimated price of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.

The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a size standard of $39.5 Million.

This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is intended to be issued as a firm-fixed price contract set aside 100% for Small Businesses.

The solicitation package materials, documents, drawings, specifications, and attachments to the anticipated solicitation will be available only electronically and via beta.sam.gov. Hard copy documents will NOT be supplied by the Government to any interested parties as a result of this solicitation. Please note the Government will not be maintaining a bidders list during the solicitation period. However, vendors are strongly encouraged to review the "Interested Vendors List" found on beta.sam.gov for this solicitation.
