Floor Leveling and Epoxy Coating

Background
Brookhaven Science Associates (BSA), the operator of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) under a Prime Contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for floor leveling and epoxy coating services.

The goal of this contract is to provide a flat and durable floor surface in the newly constructed satellite endstation building (SEB) at the Coherent Diffractive Beamline (CDI) to facilitate the installation of the Two Detector Motion System (TDMS).

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the following tasks:

1. Prepare the existing concrete floor by scarifying the entire area as per BSA drawing SK-PD-CDI-2000, while mitigating dust generation using a HEPA vacuum and portable clean tent provided by BSA.
2. Measure floor elevation using a precision water level on a 6-inch grid pattern, placing pins at designated heights.
3. Mix and pour Laticrete leveling grout (or equivalent) to the top of the pins.
4. Once cured, prepare the surface for epoxy coating by scarifying it again, also mitigating dust generation.
5. Apply two coats of primer followed by a 2mm epoxy coating layer using Stonlux S1 epoxy flooring system.
6. Bring necessary tools for measuring, mixing, pumping, and spreading materials.
7. Clean up waste materials daily and dispose of them in a contractor-provided dumpster.
8. Haul away all waste materials after project completion.
9. Provide a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship post-completion.
10. Submit a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) within one week after contract award and ensure workers complete required training for working at NSLS-II.
